Last month, Austin based jewelry and design company Kendra Scott and The Seton Fund teamed up to surprise and delight over 200 members of the Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin surgical services team.

The team at Kendra Scott kicked off the celebration by delivering holiday snacks and bright yellow gift bags that contained jewelry surprises to surgical services staff at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. In 2019, this team has performed over 12,700 procedures–many of which are for patients who are battling breast cancer. “The Surgical Services team works tirelessly to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care and our partnership with Kendra Scott allows us to celebrate the associates who put our patients first each and every day. It takes over 200 staff members to perform upwards of 70 procedures every day. Last month, we completed a $48 Million modernization of our surgical facilities bringing cutting edge surgical technology to Central Texas. Thank you, Kendra Scott, for helping celebrate the over 200 associates that have served our families and community,” said Tad Hatton, Chief Operating Officer Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin.

Ascension Seton Medical Center has the largest number of operating suites in Central Texas and many surgeries are performed using the most advanced robotic equipment available. Kendra Scott and Ascension Texas have a long standing partnership which brings together the Austin based lifestyle company and the region’s largest non-profit healthcare system to support patients and families at Dell Children’s hospital and at Ascension Seton Medical Center.

“Ascension Seton has been a loyal partner of ours for years, and we’ve seen firsthand how hard these teams work for their community, everyday,” says Founder and CEO Kendra Scott. “As our Austin neighbors, it brought us so much joy to celebrate our friends at Ascension Seton and give back to them.”
