Ascension Seton Foundation
The Ascension Seton Foundation works with our philanthropic community to support Ascension Seton’s Central Austin adult facilities, including Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, Ascension Seton Shoal Creek, as well as the Nurse Scholarship Endowment.
Rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually centered holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words.
Established in 1981 as The Seton Fund, the Ascension Seton Foundation was the first fundraising foundation of the Seton Healthcare Family. Sister Gertrude Levy and then president, Gene Attal, created it on behalf of Seton. Since its creation, the Foundation’s main purpose is to support the mission and work of the Ascension Seton Healthcare Family. Through the support of the Central Texas community, it has been an integral part of the expansion of Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, support of the Ascension Seton clinics and the capital campaign for Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.
