Cardiovascular Fellows receive training in four competencies: Clinical Training, Research, Quality Improvement Projects, and Healthcare Leadership/Advocacy.
Cardiovascular Fellows primarily train at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin – home to the only heart transplant center in the Central Texas region – as well as at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas – a state-of-the-art academic medical center and the only adult Level One Trauma Center in an 11-county region.
The Fellowship Program’s goal is to train clinically excellent cardiologists who provide personalized care to patients, with commitment to research and ingenuity toward the healthcare system.
