Our Priorities
Transplant
79% of Austin residents in need of a kidney transplant have to leave home for care, forcing these patients to travel elsewhere for all pre- and post-op visits.
The new, 15-bed unit and 10,000 square foot transplant clinic at Dell Seton will allow these patients to stay close to home for transplant care.
Neurosciences
Our community is growing and aging rapidly. We anticipate a 12% increase in the number of stroke patients by 2024.
Dell Seton Neurosciences will provide the highest level of clinical neuroscience expertise in Central Texas by attracting and retaining renown physicians, and allocating resources to ensure that Austin has a world-class neurosciences program.
Research, Technology, Innovation
Research and innovation have been woven into our culture from the very beginning. 70% of credentialed medical staff, residents and fellows across Ascension Seton are interested in joining an innovation program to tackle topics like healthcare delivery, devices, digital health and pharmaceuticals.

Currently, the number of medical practitioners is trending downwards. It is predicted that there will be anywhere from 21,100- 55,200 too few primary care physicians nationwide, by 2032.
