We expect nothing short of innovation in our extraordinary community.

Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas (Dell Seton) serves a vital role in the community as the only adult Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Central Texas. Our community’s rapid growth demands that we accelerate our investment in the technologies, facilities and medical talent that will keep us at the leading edge of exceptional care. Through our unique partnership with Dell Medical School, we can better serve our patients, regardless of their ability to pay, as a regional and national center of excellence. Our goal is to set a new standard for world class healthcare. For our patients, for our community, for you. Right here at home.

Ahead Of The Curve

  • The first, and only, place in the country where a nonprofit healthcare system (with a Level I Trauma Center), a tier one research university, and a county health district have joined forces to reimagine the way healthcare is delivered.
  • A state-of-the-art facility designed to support innovation, medical education and collaboration among doctors, nurses, researchers, staff, students, patients and families.
  • The only Level 1 adult Trauma Center in Central Texas.

Our Priorities

Transplant

79% of Austin residents in need of a kidney transplant have to leave home for care, forcing these patients to travel elsewhere for all pre- and post-op visits.

The new, 15-bed unit and 10,000 square foot transplant clinic at Dell Seton will allow these patients to stay close to home for transplant care.

Dell Seton Neurosciences will provide the highest level of clinical neuroscience expertise in Central Texas by attracting and retaining renown physicians, and allocating resources to ensure that Austin has a world-class neurosciences program.

Senator Kirk Watson Excellence In Healthcare Fund

These sobering numbers combined with projected 9% regional growth, means we need to actively and wisely recruit and retain the best and brightest medical talent.
